Salt Service

Every property begins with an initial startup service that is scheduled with a Well Technician. This comes with an
extensive checklist to make sure your system is functioning properly prior to going on routine maintenance. The details
will also be sent to you in an invoice by the Well Technician to make sure you know what was done. If there are any
repairs recommended/needed prior to service, the Well Tech will reach out to you and go over the necessary repairs. As
we begin servicing your salt system on a regular basis, we will be following a consistent format to be able to service your
home thoroughly and efficiently. The routine maintenance includes:

● Checking all Gauges and Switches- to make sure they are responsive and clean
● Cycling Pumps- to ensure the water flows through the system properly, allowing the pumps to cycle correctly.
● Setting the Times and Programs on Softener and Sulfur/Iron Removal Unit- to avoid a smelly/hard water concern
● Adding Up to 200 lbs of Salt Pellets, depending on the size of salt tank- to prevent white film and deposits in your home.
● Dump and clean the salt tank as needed (if you are in an area where the Route techs have access to dump excess salty water in a field) Note: Some dirt in your salt tank is normal. Water Medic only uses Morton brand salt pellets, the cleanest salt available.
● Clean your Aerator (if you have this system)- to maintain cleanliness of the water going into your home
● Adding 1 Chlorine Stick each maintenance visit (if Chlorine Basket is installed in your Aerator)- which aids in odor and cleanliness of the Aerator
● Test house water for hardness (if we notice the softener has not used any salt since the last visit). This will confirm that the softener is working properly.
● Advise if Any Repairs Needed. If so, then we will send a Well Technician to check over your system and provide a Separate Estimate sent to your email.
